Mobile Deposit

Deposit Checks Anytime, Anywhere with Your Mobile Device

Open your mobile banking app and deposit a check using the camera on your smartphone or tablet. Snap a picture of the front and back of the check, choose your account, verify the dollar amount, and send. Activate Mobile Deposit by calling Customer Care 800-339-6573.

How To Use Mobile Deposit

Mobile Web Banking

With your mobile web browser, you can bank on the go from your mobile phone or tablet. Login to Kennebunk Savings' Online Banking, select Mobile Banking in your profile and follow the enrollment instructions. Then look for a text message sent to your mobile phone with the URL link to launch Mobile Banking. You can bookmark this URL for future use.


Mobile Text Banking

Your account information is just a text away. Mobile Text Banking allows you to quickly access account information via text messaging. 

To enroll, login to Online Banking, select Mobile Banking in your Profile and follow enrollment instructions for Text Banking. Once you’ve enrolled, you can send text messages to Kennebunk Savings at “99785” with the text commands below. 

Account nicknames used in examples below are “C1=checking” and “S1=savings”:

Kennebunk Savings offers:

Mobile App: The app is designed specifically for your Apple® and Android™ mobile devices. The mobile app will give you fast access to a full range of banking services, including: check balances and account transactions, transfer money, pay bills, make mobile check deposits, set up account alerts and more. 

Mobile Text Messaging:  Simply send a text command with the Kennebunk Savings short code 99785 to get account info as a quick text. 

Mobile Browser: Experience most of the same great features as the mobile app on your mobile device browser. You can access your account balance and history information, transfer money, pay bills, set up account alerts and more.

Mobile Alerts:  Stay up-to-date on your account activity with mobile alerts. Choose from low balance notifications, when checks have cleared, incoming deposits and more. Mobile alerts also add another level of security to your banking and we encourage all customers to implement them to help monitor your accounts for fraud.

If you are not enrolled in Online Banking you must enroll to start using Mobile Banking: 

  • To enroll in Online Banking, visit kennebunksavings.com and click on the “Enroll Now” link at the bottom of the Login box.
  • Follow the onscreen prompts, accept the Terms and Conditions, and establish your credentials and security questions
  • Click the enroll button and choose your preferred mobile services including the Mobile App, Mobile Web Browser and Text Banking.

If you bank online now and want to add Mobile Banking:

  • Log in to Online Banking, select Profile at the top of the page, go to Mobile Banking and click “Enroll” to start.

If you installed the Mobile App: Please note that you will still have to go through Online Banking to complete the one-time setup. Then open your app and log in with your existing Online Banking username and password and you are ready to go.

If you selected Mobile Web Browser: Look for a text message with the URL link to launch Mobile Banking. You can bookmark this URL for future use.

If you selected Text Banking: Please remember to use the short code 99785 for Kennebunk Savings with your text commands.

Please remember to establish your alerts in Online Banking: Simply log in to online banking, click on the 'Alerts' link at the top of your screen. Select the type of alerts you would like to receive and the preferred delivery method – mobile, email or online.

Please note: Kennebunk Savings does not charge for Mobile Banking. Messaging and data rates may apply. Text message frequency depends on user settings. Text "STOP" to 99785 to stop alerts. Text "HELP" for help.

Our mobile banking service has a number of built-in security features:

Secure Login – Mobile banking via your mobile web or mobile app requires secure login for access. A user name and password will help confirm your identity with each mobile banking session.

Username, Password and Account Privacy - Kennebunk Savings will not store your user name and password on your phone. And account numbers, by default, are displayed as nicknames for security purposes. 

Data Encryption – All your wireless transactions are protected by SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption technology to help prevent unauthorized access.

Session Time-Out – Mobile banking has built a in time-out when there is no activity. This helps prevent others from using an open session to gain access to your accounts.

Alerts - Alerts are a great way to manage and monitor your account activity, anytime, anywhere. You can choose from a variety of alerts, such as a low balance notice, deposit confirmation or notice that purchases over a certain amount have  cleared your account. You can choose to receive your Alerts via text message, email or within Online Banking.

Important Note: Kennebunk Savings will NEVER ask you to share any personal information unless you initiate the call.

 

Text commands are short text messages you send from your mobile device to Kennebunk Savings to request account information. To send a message, just text one of the "text commands" below to the Kennebunk Savings short code 99785. Account nicknames used in examples below are “C1=checking” and “S1=savings”

Please note: Text Commands are not case sensitive.

To stop receiving text alerts, simply text "STOP" to 99785 or call Kennebunk Savings’ Customer Care at 1-800-339-6573 for assistance.

Yes. If you installed the Mobile App please note that you still have to go to Online Banking first to complete the one-time Mobile Banking setup process, if you have not already done so. Then log in to your app with your existing Online Banking Username and Password and you are ready to go.

With Mobile Deposit you can deposit a check into your eligible checking or savings account using the Kennebunk Savings Mobile App and the camera on your mobile device. The check images (front and back) will not be stored on your phone, so you can rest assured that it is secure. 

After depositing your check using Mobile Deposit, please follow these best practice guidelines:

  1. Write “For Mobile Deposit and the Date” on the back of your check. The date should be the month, day and year of your deposit.
  2. Securely store your deposited check for a minimum of 30 days after confirming that the deposited funds have been applied to your account.

You can deposit most check types, including personal, payroll and government checks payable in U.S. dollars and drawn at any U.S. bank. They must be payable to and endorsed by the account holder. 

You cannot deposit money orders, travelers checks, foreign checks, savings bonds, cash, or checks that are postdated or more than 6 months old. 

A successful mobile deposit will show as a pending transaction in your account history.
