Your Business Security

Helping our customers maintain the highest level of information security is our mission. Taking steps to protect yourself can add another layer of protection to your online experience.

How We Help Keep Your Information Secure

Secure Online Cash Management

Our corporate Online Cash Management service provides multiple levels of security for business customers, including a security token and multi-level permission controls to let businesses define and limit employee access to online banking accounts.

Account Alerts

We help keep you informed and in control of your business accounts at all times with email or text message alerts. You choose the alerts you want to receive to help monitor your account balances, deposit and withdrawal activity, and more. Alerts are easy to set up—simply log into Online Cash Management or Online Banking and click on the “Alerts” link at the top of the page.

Secure Online Chat

If you have questions when you are online with us, simply click on the chat button to get secure, real-time online assistance from our Customer Care or Cash Management teams. All your online sessions are encrypted to prevent unauthorized access to the information you share.

Business Chip Cards

Kennebunk Savings’ business debit and credit cards are equipped with microchip technology that further enhances card security when used in a chip-activated terminal.

If your business accepts debit and credit card payments you can help protect your customers and your business by providing chip-activated terminals for in-store payments. During the transaction, a unique one-time code is generated to validate the transaction. This feature cannot be replicated in counterfeit cards. If you have not already updated your card terminals, contact your merchant services provider to discuss your options. Or, contact Kennebunk Savings for more information about merchant services.

Tips to Help You Protect Your Business

  • Do not give personal information, like passwords, debit card numbers or your social security number to anyone via email or over the phone unless you initiated the contact.

Your Personal Security

We want you to be safe when you bank with Kennebunk Savings, which is why we work hard to keep your information secure and provide you with the tools you need to bank with confidence.

How We Help Keep Your Information Secure

Secure Online and Mobile Banking

When you bank online with your personal computer or mobile device, we’re committed to making it an easy and safe experience. Bank with confidence knowing that your transactions are protected by your ID and password, a high level of encryption, and firewalls to safeguard your personal information.

Account Alerts

We make it easy for you to stay on top of important account activity with alerts. When you set up alerts, you can choose to receive email or text notifications about your account balance, deposit and withdrawal activity, loan payments due and more. Alerts are easy to set up—simply log into Online Banking and click on “Alerts” in the top right corner.

Mastercard® SecureCode®

Our Mastercard Debit cardholders can enroll in Mastercard SecureCode to use a private code when shopping online for an added layer of security. Visit Mastercard SecureCode Sign-up to activate your code.

Secure Online Chat

Have a financial question? Simply click on the chat button to get secure, real-time online assistance from our Customer Care team. Online chat is safe and secure because all online sessions are encrypted to prevent unauthorized access to the information you share.

Personal Chip Cards

Kennebunk Savings Debit Cards are equipped with microchip technology. When used with a chip-enabled card reader, the card offers an additional layer of protection that makes your card information more difficult to steal or counterfeit. The chip interacts with a chip-enabled reader, creating a unique single-use code to validate the transaction.

The chip technology protection does not prevent fraud online or over the phone.

Fraud Services

Kennebunk Savings monitors customers' accounts for suspicious transactions, to help detect and prevent debit card fraud.

Our Fraud Services monitor for suspicious activity on your debit card 24/7. When a transaction is not consistent with your usual card activity, you will receive a text message from Fraud Services to verify the authenticity of your card transaction. This is an actionable text message, which means you can respond to it in the moment. If we do not receive a text response from you within 15 minutes of sending the message, we will follow up with a phone call. Text message alerts are sent from 8am-9pm, so we won't disrupt you in the middle of the night.

Please know we will never ask for your full card number, full social security number, your PIN number, expiration date on the card, or the CVC code on the back of the card. You will also have the option to be verified using One Step Authentication. This simple process sends a five-digit passcode via SMS text to your cell phone, allowing for a quick and convenient verification without asking going through the standard identification procedures.

Important steps you should take to be sure Fraud Services can work on your behalf:
•    Make sure Kennebunk Savings has your most current phone number(s).
•    Always notify us when you plan to travel.

To update your personal contact information or notify us of your travel plans, call Customer Care at 800-339-6573 or visit your local branch.
