Here’s our advice – JUST HANG UP!
We’re seeing an increase in cases where scammers are calling and texting customers pretending to be the bank or another business. We’ll never ask for your password, PIN, or multi-factor authentication (MFA) passcode — EVER!
If you get a call or text you weren’t expecting, don’t share any personal information. Instead, HANG UP or DELETE the message and reach out to us directly at 800-339-6573 or visit a branch so we may assist you.

What To Do if You Suspect Suspicious Activity on Your Account

What to do if you suspect suspicious activity on your account

  1. Call Kennebunk Savings. If you suspect suspicious activity on your account, please call us immediately at 800.339.6573. We may review your account activity and determine the appropriate next steps to secure your account(s). Do the same with any other company where the fraud may have occurred.
  2. Contact Credit Bureaus. Contact one of the credit bureaus and request a fraud alert, which will make it more difficult for someone to open an account in your name. You only need to contact one bureau, they are required to inform the other two of the fraud alert.Request a copy of your consumer credit report from each of the above credit bureaus by visiting annualcreditreport.com or calling 877-322-8228. Carefully review your credit reports for fraudulent activity. Write down any account or transaction that you don’t recognize.

3. Contact Authorities. Report fraudulent activity to the FTC by visiting IdentityTheft.gov. Share any information you have about how your account may have been compromised and any suspicious activity on your account(s) and credit reports.
