PORTSMOUTH, NH — Kennebunk Savings is sponsoring a pair of events as a part of their ongoing commitment to substance use disorder recovery on the Seacoast. Twin donations of $15,000 went to Hope on Haven Hill and SOS Recovery Community Organization in support of their latest efforts.
The Bank serves as the lead sponsor for Hope on Haven Hill’s upcoming gala fundraiser, Hope Springs Eternal, to be held on March 11th at Wentworth by the Sea in New Castle, NH. “Kennebunk Savings has gone above and beyond for the recovery community over and over,” said Kerry Norton, Hope on Haven Hill’s Executive Director. “I am so blown away by a business that cares so much.”
Kennebunk Savings is also sponsoring the upcoming annual conference held by SOS Recovery Community Organization. The R.I.C.H. (Recovery, Inclusion, Community, Harm Reduction) Conference is the northeast’s premier recovery conference, where nationally recognized speakers and community leaders share the latest research and innovations. It is to be held on April 4th and 5th at the Sheraton Harborside Hotel in Portsmouth, NH. “The support from Kennebunk Savings and all our sponsors is really the only way a conference like this can be put together successfully,” said John Burns, Director at SOS. “It also showcases support to those we serve and helps reduce stigma in the community.”
Kennebunk Savings, a Recovery Friendly Workplace, has championed substance use disorder prevention and recovery as a signature cause for several years. The Bank’s Spotlight Fund makes targeted, proactive donations in the field. The Bank also distributes Deterra drug disposal kits, free-of-charge to the public, at all of their branch locations.
