To enhance our communities and improve quality of life for the people within them, Kennebunk Savings offers direct grants, as well as sponsorships in five key categories:
- Arts programs
- Civic initiatives
- Environmental protection and preservation
- Human services
Huntington Common Charitable Fund for Seniors
The Huntington Common Charitable Fund for Seniors was established in 2006 with the proceeds from the conversion and sale of the Huntington Common Retirement Living Community. Each year, the Kennebunk Savings Bank Foundation allocates the earnings of the fund to qualified organizations serving York County residents ages 65 and older
Request a Grant or Sponsorship
Your organization can request funding online, through a banking office, or through a lending officer. Our Community Investment Committee meets regularly to review requests. Decisions are based on potential impact in the community, support from others in the private and public sector, and relevance to the community investment goals.

How do you update a building known for its architecture and long history of being a landmark on Kennebunk’s Main Street? “Very carefully and with a lot of patience,” said Jim Dowe, project leader for the Main Street renovation and Facilities Manager at Kennebunk Savings. Originally constructed in 1806, the building located at104 Main Street has been home to Kennebunk Savings since it opened for business on May 1, 1871.
One unanticipated event can change life as we know it in a split second. For those who are living with disabilities, access to adaptive recreational and competitive sports can provide hope and significantly improve one’s perspective on life. Northeast Passage (NEP) offers a variety of adaptive sports and therapeutic recreation programs to individuals with disabilities, veterans and school systems in New England.
