Kennebunk Savings, a longtime supporter of the United Way, announced its support for their annual programs with a donation of $44,280 to the United Way of York County. The United Way will in turn support 63 programs that address critical needs throughout York County, Maine. Those programs include providing healthy food for children and seniors, engaging youth in meaningful service, and helping people who need help gain access to services for basic needs.

As part of the Kennebunk Savings dollar-for-dollar match for employees who donate, the company as a whole will give over $88,000 towards United Way programs. According to Bradford C. Paige, President and CEO of Kennebunk Savings, “I’m really proud of our organization’s total and ongoing commitment to the success of the United Way. Their vision helps ensure a better community for us all and their programs help our most vulnerable population.”

Each year, in addition to financial support, Kennebunk Savings offers employees paid time  to volunteer for the United Way during the workday.  Over 20 Kennebunk Savings employees volunteered at the United Way of York County’s Day of Caring on June 7, = where they helped to clean up the school gardens and finalize an art installation project at Noble Middle School.

Kennebunk Savings commits 10% of its earnings back to the nonprofit community each year through its Community Promise program; this year contributions to local charitable organization will total over $720,000.
