Q&A

What does a good day at work look like to you?

When I can sit at a closing table with a customer and share the satisfaction of bringing an initial idea and potential opportunity – through the challenges and obstacles that may stand in the way –  to reach a successful conclusion – that is a very good day.

What do you like best about the culture at Kennebunk Savings? Which one of our brand values (Integrity, Empathy, Proactive, Trust) resonates most strongly for you?

Trust – the trust that my customers have in me to provide thoughtful advice, timely responses and positive outcomes. I understand the responsibility that I have to meet these expectations every day and this becomes a powerful motivator.

What living person do you most admire?

Probably my father – not because of his perfection but because of how he managed his lack of perfection. Everyone has challenges and setbacks – understanding shortcomings and leveraging strengths is a skill to be admired. I have learned a lot from him.

What’s an important lesson you’ve learned in your career?

Respecting the balance between what knowledge and expertise that you can bring to a relationship and what knowledge and expertise that you can take away from a relationship – this type of collaboration leads to a greater chance of success in any venture. No one person can have all of the answers.

What do you love about your community?

Kittery is a town that benefits from a history of a diverse population due in part to the US Navy and Coast Guard presence. My grandfather came here stationed as a US Naval officer and my father followed that tradition in service. My daughter has had the benefit of meeting many different families from around the country and all different backgrounds – for this I am grateful and I am proud of the way Kittery welcomes everyone as part of the community.
