What does a Commercial Relationship Manager do?
Under the direct guidance of the area manager and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the incumbent is responsible for developing and servicing a variety of business and individual loans that are basic to moderately complex in nature. Aggregate credit exposures of generally less than $1,000,000. He/she is also responsible for business development activities.
Essential Functions (3)

Business Development: Responsible for originating new business lending relationships and maintaining existing lending relationships within the assigned portfolio

Referrals: Routinely refers other business lines’ products and services as appropriate

Asset Quality: Responsible for maintaining the Asset Quality of assigned Small Business Commercial Lending relationships
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Promotes the Kennebunk Savings Brand by recommending our products and services, supporting our community focus & commitment to being a premier employer
- Understands, supports and adheres to applicable organizational policies/procedures and state/federal regulations
- Consistently emphasizes the importance of teamwork in the department and company at large
- Responsible for keeping abreast of company news and information
- Responsible for completing required training and policy review
- May serve on various committees
- Willingness to take on additional tasks and duties

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Understanding of Small Business loan structures and underwriting criteria
- CRM and CLOS proficiency
- Ability to prospect for new customers and Centers of Influence, as well as maintain a disciplined networking/calling routine
- Prior knowledge of government guaranteed lending programs preferred
- Displays a high level of trust, integrity and confidentiality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Displays strong written and verbal communication skills
- Displays strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task to meet established deadlines
- Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Effectively uses analytical skills to solve technical, as well as, non-technical problems
- Prior knowledge of regulations within the financial services industry is preferred
- Ability to adapt to change
Desired Job Experience

3-5 years of C&I lending, government guaranteed lending or general commercial lending preferred

Experience in a professional, service focused and fast-paced environment

High school or General Education Diploma required

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
Working Conditions/Minimum Physical Requirements
- Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer and other office equipment
- Lifting and moving of moderately heavy objects on occasion
- Normally seated for extended periods of time
