Location: Kennebunk, Maine

What does a Systems Administrator II do?

The Systems Administer II is responsible for administering application integrations and associated upgrades as well as telecommunication systems. They will work with the Network Administration team in support of network systems and provide advance level skillsets to train on skills necessary to meet business needs. This role is responsible for meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA’s), following department standards (i.e. checklists/procedures) and may have to provide after business hours support, as necessary.

Essential Functions

Application Support and Analysis

  • Ensures integrity, security, stability, and system availability as well as advanced troubleshooting of application issues
  • Coordinates and implements software installations and upgrades
  • User Provisioning

Information Security

  • Adheres to and ensures information security policy for all applications
  • Administers and reports on the distribution software patches

Support Desk

  • Advanced level expertise for Support Desk
  • Responds to Support Desk requests as assigned
  • Answers incoming support desk phone calls and manages ticket queue
  • Provisions and maintains inventory for Hardware and Software

Desired Certifications and Licenses

  • A+ Certification
  • Network+ Certification or equivalent

  • Displays high level of regard for trust and confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
  • Displays strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Displays strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task to meet established deadlines
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Effectively uses analytical skills to solve technical, as well as, non-technical problems
  • Prior knowledge of banking regulations is preferred
  • Ability to adapt to change

Desired Job Experience

  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco
  • Experience in a professional, service focused and fast-paced environment

Desired Education

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred
  • High school or General Education Diploma

Working Conditions/Minimum Physical Requirements

  • Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Lifting and moving of moderately heavy objects on occasion
  • Normally seated for extended periods of time
  • Standing for extended periods of time
  • Some exposure to outdoor elements and inclement weather
  • Frequent lifting, stretching, bending, walking, climbing and pushing
