Kennebunk Savings is welcoming their new Residential Lending Officer for their New Hampshire markets, Lisa Gautieri. She will be serving the Bank’s customers in Dover, Hampton, Portsmouth, Stratham and surrounding communities.
Gautieri comes to the Bank with 28 years of experience, including 23 years as a mortgage loan officer with a focus on first time home buyers, low-to-moderate income borrowers, CRA lending and community development lending. “I see myself as a financial literacy guide,” Gautieri says. “I’m helping people navigate a world in which they aren’t always even familiar with the vocabulary. It can be overwhelming. But my role is to educate and make the process as painless and stress free as possible.”
Gautieri comes to New England from Batavia, New York, where she worked as a Community Development Loan Officer at Five Star Bank and spent 15 years at Tompkins Community Bank as a Mortgage Loan Officer. When she first relocated to our region, she served as a Code and Assessing Specialist for the City of Westbook, Maine.
She came to Kennebunk Savings because she sees herself as a community banker, not a corporate banker. “At a community bank it’s all about relationships. It’s not transactional, it’s relational. I also find there is much more of a team culture and collaboration with your colleagues.”
“I love what I do,” Gautieri continues. “I have spent more than two decades helping people realize their dream. Whether that’s through teaching first-time home buyer education classes and financial literacy classes, serving on my local municipality’s housing and flood commissions, joining various boards, or volunteering with organizations. It’s all in the service of positive development of the communities in which I live and work.”
