Our Community Promise is what defines us — it’s why we do what we do. Each year, we reinvest 10% of the Bank’s post-tax earnings into the community by supporting local nonprofits. We also back that money up with volunteering and public advocacy. We proudly support the work of our nonprofit partners because we really believe in it.
So, as we reach the halfway mark of 2026, how are we doing? As of June 1st, 2026, Kennebunk Savings has donated $919,821. That represents 363 grants and sponsorships to 305 unique organizations. We’d like to share a few recent ones we’re excited about!
We are now the stage sponsor for The Dance Hall in Kittery, Maine! The Dance Hall is a nonprofit, all-ages music and arts venue in a recently beautified, historic Grange Hall. The diverse programming, featuring artists from around the world as well as talent local to the Seacoast and New England, solidifies The Dance Hall as a hub for arts, culture, and community. GoodWork is a support system for local nonprofits. Located in Carey Cottage in Portsmouth, they make use of years of nonprofit experience to help local groups better meet the needs of our communities. One way they make an impact is through a free lecture series for nonprofit staff called “GoodWork Gatherings,” which we are proud to support each year.
