2025 was an eventful year for Kennebunk Savings. Here are just a few of the highlights!
In March, we celebrated our volunteers at our annual VIP (Volunteer Investment Program) celebration at the Whittemore Center in Durham, NH. Go Wildcats! We volunteered over 11,000 hours to local nonprofits in 2024. (The total number for 2025 is still being calculated!)

We were proud to donate $50,000 to help COAST kick off a capital campaign for their new facility! Watch a video about our donation and their campaign here.

We sponsored this year’s incredible TEDxPortsmouth event! All of the speakers were amazing and insightful, including our friend and partner Margo Walsh from MaineWorks! Watch Margo’s TED Talk here.

We had a great time showing our support at Pride events in June! We marched in the Portsmouth Parade, handed out flags at the Ogunquit flag raising, set up for Pride in the ‘Bunks, and stepped back in time at the South Berwick garden party! It’s so fun to see and participate in the many ways our community shows our Pride!

This year’s annual employee party was a “Boot Scootin’ Bash!” complete with food trucks and BBQ, farm animals and rodeo games, awards, prizes, and good times for everybody! It’s so much fun to get the whole herd together in one place to celebrate and kick off summer!
We also launched a video series this year called “How’d They Bank That?” It spotlights local businesses and shows how Kennebunk Savings helped them grow! Check out all episodes here.

Our President & CEO Lex Meagher spoke on a panel at the annual conference of the NH Businesses for Social Responsibility (NHBSR) — we’re always happy to share our perspective on why helping one another is always the right thing to do!

We were also honored to receive this year’s Cornerstone Award from the NHBSR. The Cornerstone Award is presented to a member of their network that exemplifies corporate social responsibility and promotes those values to the greater business community. We are the first financial institution to EVER receive this recognition!

We also hosted a luncheon for a sampling of our recent retirees to catch them up on life at Kennebunk Savings. It’s important to maintain these connections and tap into their perspective and knowledge – they continue to be an amazing resource!

We celebrated the end of summer at all of our branches with some icy cold treats from The Treat Truck! It’s a favorite Kennebunk Savings tradition!

Don’t worry — we let Bill come out and have some ice cream eventually.

In October, we worked long hours implementing our digital upgrades. Team work makes the dream work!

Of course, it was business as usual by Halloween. Just a regular day at the bank!

But when we heard that our friends at Mainspring were seeing a huge influx of demand for food, fuel assistance and other social services for Shipyard families in Kittery, we knew we needed to step up. So we decided to show up to our regularly-scheduled meeting with 200 lbs of groceries and a surprise check for $10,000 in hand. This has been difficult time for families in our area and we’re here to help. We also doubled our annual holiday season donations to local food pantries.
