What is the Huntington Common Charitable Fund?
When the Huntington Common Retirement Living Community was sold in 2006, the proceeds were set aside under the auspices of the Kennebunk Savings Bank Foundation and named the Huntington Common Charitable Fund. The money was entrusted to Kennebunk Savings because we have a proven reputation for serving the community. It is utilized to help older adults in York County lead complete and fulfilled lives. The administration of this fund is a parallel but separate focus for our Social Responsibility team.
It’s been our honor to lead the fund and focus distributions on programs that help older adults across all categories, including nutrition, dementia care, therapeutics, and access to the arts. We are always looking for ways to care for and brighten the days of our older citizens.
Do you have a program that could improve the lives of older adults in York County, Maine? We’d love to hear from you. We’re actively seeking proposals from 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and programs. Quarterly grant submission deadlines for the Huntington Common Charitable Fund are 3/31, 6/30, 9/30, and 12/31.
