Changes to Safe Deposit Boxes

We’re making it easier for you to manage your Safe Deposit Box. We are updating our Safe Deposit Box policy to require annual rent payments to be automatically deducted from a Kennebunk Savings deposit account – this way you can just set it and forget it!  Our records show that Autopay currently isn’t set up for your Safe Deposit Box. We kindly ask that you enroll in Autopay before October 10, 2025.

  1. Ensure you have an active Kennebunk Savings checking or savings account.
  2. Enroll in Autopay for your Safe Deposit Box.

Yes. When you enroll, you can specify which Kennebunk Savings checking or savings account you’d like the annual rent to be deducted from.

Will I receive a reminder before the payment is deducted?

You will receive an annual statement with the payment amount and the account it will be debited from.

I do not wish to set up autopay tied to a Kennebunk Savings account?  Is there any alternative?

As part of our policy, Autopay for safe deposit box leases must be tied to a Kennebunk Savings account. Unfortunately, we’re unable to proceed with the lease without Autopay and therefore we would need to close the Safe Deposit Box. If you change your mind or would like assistance opening a checking or savings account, we’d be happy to help.
