Kennebunk Savings is pleased to announce that Samik Roy has been hired as Assistant Vice President and Kittery Branch Manager. Most recently Roy worked at a fortune 500 bank where he was a Team Leader for a high volume call center.
With over ten years of experience in banking Roy gained an appreciation for integrating community and banking through his position as a Retail Branch and Market Coach. He played an essential role in the successful launch of a 13,000 square foot, flagship banking café in San Francisco, California which served as a model for other bank cafés. According to Senior Retail Banking Officer and Senior Vice President Brendan Markey, “Samik brings his unique knowledge of the benefits of a big bank with an enthusiasm for creating community to the Kittery branch. We are looking forward to having his expertise in our Kittery market.”
Roy received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware where he was a double major in Finance and Marketing. Previous jobs include positions in sales and business development with an emphasis on team leadership and team coaching. As a strong advocate for the community, Roy volunteered for many years at Dress for Success before serving as a Board member there. Roy lives in southern Maine.
