How to Request a Contribution Through the Community Investment Program of Kennebunk Savings we pledge 10% of our annual earnings to support non-profit and charitable efforts each year. An additional amount will be made available each year through the earnings of the Huntington Common Charitable Fund for Seniors of the Kennebunk Savings Bank Foundation.
If you would like Kennebunk Savings Bank or the Kennebunk Savings
Bank Foundation to consider providing funding to your organization,
please complete our eligibility and
request for
funding form.
Some of the information you will be asked includes:
1.
Name, address and telephone
number of the organization.
2.
Contact name and daytime
telephone number.
3.
A complete program/project
description including expected outcomes, who it will benefit,
and what impact it will have on York County.
4.
Detailed budget, including the
total program project budget, the amount you are requesting,
gifts you have received so far for this project, and your
fundraising plans to support this project.
5.
Your organization’s
Section 501(c)(3) tax exempt number.
6.
A list of the organization’s
volunteer board of directors.
7.
Your organization’s most recent
annual report or financial statements.
8.
Deadlines that could affect the
timing of our decision (if applicable).
Our Community Investment Committee usually meets monthly to review requests. Every effort will be made to review requests in a timely manner. We give top
priority to requests from organizations located in our service areas which do not have state or national affiliations. The volume of requests we receive
represent a great number of worthy causes and organizations, however our resources are limited and we cannot honor every request. Please note that Kennebunk
Savings Bank and the Kennebunk Savings Bank Foundation do not provide funding for individuals, religious or political organizations.
Please Note:
The Huntington Common Charitable Fund for Seniors of the Kennebunk
Savings Bank Foundation (Huntington Common Charitable Fund) is now
accepting grant applications. The Huntington
Common Charitable Fund was established with the proceeds from
the conversion and sale of Huntington Common Retirement Living
Community in 2006. Each year the Kennebunk Savings Bank Foundation
will allocate earnings of the Huntington Common Fund to benefit
qualified organizations serving York County residents ages 65 and
older. The Foundation will be guided by the recommendations of the
Huntington Common Charitable Fund Board of Advisors.

County Starfish Awards are a collaboration among Kennebunk
Savings Bank, United Way of York County, and the York County
Coast Star to promote volunteerism.
Since the program’s beginnings in 1995, Kennebunk Savings Bank and Kennebunk Savings Bank Foundation has contributed over $5 million back to
nonprofit and charitable organizations.
