Brian Leader is Vice President and Branch Manager of the newest Kennebunk Savings office located at 111 Maplewood Avenue in Portsmouth. Leader’s responsibilities include business development in the Portsmouth area and the surrounding New Hampshire seacoast communities, as well as day-to-day management of the banking office. Prior to Kennebunk Savings, Leader worked for another New Hampshire financial institution serving the greater seacoast area.
Leader has demonstrated strong knowledge of the local market and a commitment to the Portsmouth community. He has several years of experience in branch management, lending, customer service and sales. A resident of Portsmouth, he is actively involved in the Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce, Rye Lions Club, Special Olympics, and volunteers for the local youth sports teams.
Megan Pratt, who began her career with Kennebunk Savings six years ago, is the Assistant Manager for the Portsmouth office. She has a strong customer service background. In her new position, she’ll be responsible for serving and expanding existing customer relationships
Pratt recently completed the Master Teller Program through the Northern New England Certified Financial Training Center in New Gloucester, Maine. An outdoor enthusiast Pratt is a life-long resident of York, Maine.
Marcia Welsh has over ten years of experience in Residential Mortgage Lending and will be responsible for residential lending in the Portsmouth, New Hampshire area. “We are very excited to welcome Marcia to the New Hampshire Residential Lending team,” said Cathy J. Brown, Vice President and Residential Lending Team Leader for Kennebunk Savings. “Her local knowledge and extensive experience in mortgage lending makes her a great resource for our customers and Kennebunk Savings.” In addition to residential lending, Welsh has experience working as a Real Estate Agent and a background in accounting.
Welsh graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies with a concentration in finance and accounting. She lives in Greenland, New Hampshire.
John Burcke has more than fourteen years experience in the banking industry. In his current role as Vice President and Small Business Team Leader he is responsible for growing Kennebunk Savings’ small business presence throughout York County and the greater seacoast New Hampshire market while working closely with the Bank’s fifteen banking office managers. Prior to joining Kennebunk Savings, Burcke worked in management roles at another bank that included Branch Manager, Area Manager and District Executive.
Burcke attended Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. He is a member of the Seacoast Rotary Club of Portsmouth, and has also served as Chairman of the North Shore Arthritic Walk and as a member of the Board of Incorporators for the Boys and Girls Club of Salem, New Hampshire. An avid distance runner, Burcke also enjoys spending time with his family in their home in Dover, NH.
Bishop has 12 years of commercial real estate and lending experience. In his role as Vice President of Corporate Lending he is responsible for the development and management of a commercial loan portfolio serving the Seacoast New Hampshire marketplace. A recent addition to the Kennebunk Savings’ Portsmouth team, Bishop comes to Kennebunk Savings from Centrix Bank where he was an Assistant Vice President Commercial Loan Officer. Prior to that Bishop was a Senior Credit Analyst at a Portsmouth Bank.
Bishop earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Maine at Orono and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Southern Maine. He is active in the Greater Seacoast community working with The Housing Partnership, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating diverse and affordable housing options. He also works on the Admissions and Scholarship Committee of Leadership Seacoast and is the incoming Assistant Treasurer for the Portsmouth Rotary Club. Bishop grew up in Gorham, Maine, and now resides in Arundel with his family.
Jamie Thompson joined the Kennebunk Savings team in 2010 as Vice President in the Corporate Lending Division and is responsible for developing and managing a commercial loan portfolio serving the Seacoast New Hampshire marketplace. He began his career more than 25 years ago in commercial banking and was most recently associated with TD Bank in their Beverly, Massachusetts office where he was a Vice President in the Commercial Banking Division. He has worked at a number of New England banks as a commercial lender and previously won two sales awards.
Thompson graduated Cum Laude from Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, where he earned a B.A. in History. He attended Stonier Graduate School of Banking in Delaware and is a 2004 graduate of Leadership Seacoast of New Hampshire, a regional civic development program. Thompson has been an active member of Rotary for the past 20 years and currently serves on the Town Budget Committee in Newfields, New Hampshire. He is also a youth soccer coach and serves on a local Boy Scout Troop Committee. Thompson lives in Newfields, New Hampshire with his family.

Danny Edgecomb has over seven years of experience in insurance sales. He recently joined the Kennebunk Savings Portsmouth, New Hampshire team as an insurance producer to service the insurance needs of the local Seacoast business community. He was most recently associated with TD Insurance, Inc. as an insurance producer serving customers in the Maine and New Hampshire market areas and twice earned the distinction of top producer. He also received the company’s CEO Leadership award in 2008. Edgecomb earned several industry designations including: Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) and Associates in Insurance (AIS).
Originally from Wentworth, New Hampshire Edgecomb graduated from the University of New Hampshire where he earned a B.S. in Business. While at the University, he played on the Wildcats baseball team and served as its team captain for two consecutive years. He remains active in the local Seacoast baseball community and is a youth baseball coach and President of the Portsmouth Senior Adult Baseball League (SABL) wooden bat league. He is also a member of the Seacoast Rotary Club and lives in Portsmouth.

Ryan Hale has 13 years experience as a financial consultant and has been an investment consultant with Kennebunk Savings for more than five years. He joins the Portsmouth team as Vice President Financial Consultant and LPL Financial Representative to help manage clients’ investments in the context of their full financial plans. Hale will continue to work out of the York Office as well as the Portsmouth Office. Prior to joining Kennebunk Savings, Hale served as an investment consultant for TD Bank.
He has earned the premier industry designation of Certified Financial Planner® (CFP). Hale graduated from the Kenan-Flagler Business School of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner certification (CFP®).
A licensed private pilot, Hale is active in his community and has served for more than five years on the Planning Committee of the York County March of Dimes. He is also a volunteer and coach for the Kittery Recreation Department. Hale was born in Eliot, Maine, and currently resides in Kittery, Maine, with his family.
