KENNEBUNK, MAINE – Kennebunk Savings Bank is pleased to announce that William E. Saufley of Portland has recently joined the bank as Senior Vice President - Project Management. In this position Saufley will be responsible for directing all phases of major project development and implementation, organizing and working closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure successful and timely implementation.
Saufley began his banking career as corporate counsel with Maine Savings Bank in 1984 and was associated with both Atlantic Bank and Coastal Bank in senior management positions. In addition to a comprehensive banking background, he is also a practicing attorney and most recently served as Deputy Executive Director at the Maine Public Employees Retirement System. A graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Maine School of Law, Saufley is a Trustee for the Maine Bar Foundation. He serves as a Director and Vice President for Legislative and Regulatory Affairs for the Human Resources Association of Southern Maine and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Maine State Council as their State Governmental Affairs Director. He is a past President of Rebuilding Together---Greater Portland, and since 2002 has been listed in “Best Lawyers in America” for Banking Law.
