KENNEBUNK, Maine – As it readies its new office at 5 Points Shopping Center in Biddeford, Ken Reed, President and CEO announces that Phil Hatch will be in charge of Commercial Lending in the market as VP, Commercial Lending and Denise Nickerson will be the area’s Mortgage Lending Officer.
Hatch who joined the bank in 2006 will concentrate on new business development in the Biddeford, Saco, and Old Orchard Beach communities. A native of Biddeford and a long time resident of Saco, Hatch had been at TD Banknorth for prior to joining Kennebunk Savings in their Sanford Office. According to Reed, “We are delighted to have someone with the experience and knowledge of this key market that Phil has working on our behalf. He has already proven himself as someone who establishes immediate rapport with clients and as someone who is resourceful in finding ways to effectively work with business owners and partners to help them grow their businesses. With Phil in his “hometown” we look forward to assisting more Biddeford market businesses and partnering with them to bringing our brand of superior and responsive customer service.”
Hatch has achieved the Risk Management Association’s professional designation of “Credit Risk Certified” and has been active in numerous banking industry and community organizations. He is currently involved with the Risk Management Association both locally and nationally as well as the Biddeford-Saco Rotary Club, Biddeford-Saco Chamber of Commerce, Southern Maine Agency on Aging “Money Minders” Advisory Council, and Junior Achievement of Maine. Phil and his wife Lucie, a Registered Nurse, own and operate Winterhaven, an elderly assisted living facility located in Saco.
Denise Nickerson will be joining Phil in the Lending area as a Residential Lending Officer. Also a Biddeford native, Nickerson joined Kennebunk Savings Bank more than six years ago and has extensive experience in deposit customer service and retail and mortgage loan underwriting and servicing. She was named a residential lending officer for northern York County in 2006. Nickerson attended the University of Southern Maine and holds diplomas and certificates from the American Institute of Banking, including: General Banking, Bank Operations, Banking and Finance, Consumer Lending and Mortgage Lending. With more than 18 years experience to her credit, Nickerson is looking forward to returning to Biddeford. Nickerson is a member of the Maine Mortgage Bankers Association and an affiliated member of the York County Council of Realtors. A current resident of Arundel, she is also a volunteer at the Mildred Day School in Arundel.
