Kennebunk Savings Bank is pleased to announce that Lorraine Boston has
been promoted to the position of Executive Vice President, Chief
Lending Officer.
Boston has been in the banking industry for twenty-eight years and
with Kennebunk Savings Bank for over fourteen years. Boston’s new
title reflects a change in the way Kennebunk Savings handles its
lending. Under Boston’s leadership, all of the loan functions will
be combined into one department in order to streamline the lending
process and offer customers the best service possible.
A resident of Sanford and a graduate of the New England School of
Banking at Williams College, Boston was named to the Top 25 Women to
Watch in Banking list by U.S. Banker magazine in 2004. In addition
to her work at the bank, she holds several positions in community
organizations.
“Community service is one of the foundations of Kennebunk Savings
and I thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to get involved,” Lorraine
says. “Currently I am on the boards of York Hospital as Treasurer,
York County Community College Foundation as capital campaign
co-chair, past chair, and the Southern Maine Economic Development
District's revolving loan committee.” Boston has also been active in
the York Chamber of Commerce, United Way of York County and with the
Wells Library.
With twelve banking offices from Kennebunk to Kittery, Kennebunk
Savings Bank is York County’s leading financial institution with a
complete line of retail and business banking products and also
offers personal and commercial insurance through its subsidiary,
Morris Insurance Services, Inc. With 12 offices from Kittery to
Kennebunk, Kennebunk Savings has a strong commitment to York
County’s business community and has earned the Finance Authority of
Maine (FAME) Bank of the Year award three times and is a Small
Business Administration (SBA) Preferred Lender. Kennebunk Savings
Bank is a past winner of the Maine Businesses for Social
Responsibility Eagle Feather Award. A true community bank serving
the Southern Maine community for more than 135 years, it distributes
10% of its earnings each year to non-profit and charitable
organizations throughout York County. This is done through Kennebunk
Savings and the Kennebunk Savings Bank Foundation. By the end of
2006, the Community Investment Program will have contributed a total
of more than $5 million to charitable and non-profit organizations
throughout York County through such initiatives as the annual
customer ballot, the Starfish volunteer awards and community grants.
