KENNEBUNK, Maine – Seven York County scholars are heading off to
their freshman year at college this month thanks to some help from the
Kennebunk Savings Bank Foundation.
The seven area students granted scholarships of $1000 each are:
Katherine Hinkle of Traip Academy in Kittery; Katherine Hughes of York
High School; Ashley Stevens of Marshwood High School in South Berwick;
William Francis Jennes of Kennebunk High School; Nichole Beauvas of
Wells High School; Matthew McCarthy of Sanford High School; and Amanda
Shisler of Noble High School in Berwick. The students were chosen by
the staff of each high school for their academic achievements.
“These seven students represent some of the brightest stars of York
County,” notes Kennebunk Savings Bank president Joel Stevens. “One
of the best ways the Kennebunk Savings Bank Foundation can invest in
the communities we serve is to encourage students to
believe in their talent and continue their education. This annual
program is one of many programs we support that recognizes and rewards
academic excellence.”
