KENNEBUNK, Maine - In addition to books and videos, patrons of the
William Fogg Library in Eliot will now also be able to borrow family
admission passes to three museums, thanks to a generous grant from the
Kennebunk Savings Bank Foundation.
The
Kennebunk Savings Bank Foundation donated $1,025 for the library to
purchase passes for the Maine Children’s Museum in Portland, the
Children’s Museum of Boston, and the McAuliffe Planetarium located
in Concord NH. The passes offer either discounted or free tickets for
families.
"We are just so pleased to be able to offer so many different
types of passes to our members," notes Children’s Librarian,
Mary Class. "When we asked the Kennebunk Savings Bank Foundation
for help buying the passes, we thought they would contribute funds
towards one. We were thrilled when we learned that they would grant us
money to purchase family passes to all three museums! With these
passes, we can now offer services similar to those offered by the
bigger libraries in our area."
In addition to the passes funded by the Kennebunk Savings Bank
Foundation, the William Fogg Library also has passes to the Children’s
Museum of Portsmouth, the Seacoast Science Center, and the Boston
Museum of Science. For more information on how to obtain and use the
passes, patrons may call the library at 207-439-9437.
