KITTERY - When Richelle Marr got the phone call from Kennebunk Savings
Bank, she thought it was a prank. Someone was telling her that her
family won the Kittery banking office’s grand prize trip to Walt
Disney World. She thought it couldn’t be true. But it was and the
Marr family couldn’t be more thrilled.
To celebrate the opening of their new banking office in Kittery,
Kennebunk Savings held a drawing for several prizes including a Weber
grill, tent and camping gear, canoe, mountain bikes, and the grand
prize trip to Disney World which includes airfare, hotel
accommodations and multi-day park-hopper passes. Customers could enter
the drawing in the Kittery office from the day the office opened on
May first until June 30th when the winners were drawn.
Richelle Marr was so afraid the prize was a hoax that she didn’t
even tell her three children, Alicia, age 5, Brianna, age 4, and
Catrina, age 3, about the trip until she brought them to the bank and
realized it was true. "It’s going to be awesome,"
exclaimed Richelle, "The girls are going to have so much fun! I
want to thank Kennebunk Savings for doing this. I just can’t believe
we won a trip to Disney World!" Richelle, her husband Jeremy, and
three girls plan on taking their trip in January or February to escape
Maine’s cold weather.
Kennebunk Savings Kittery Office Manager, Linda Chisholm was excited
when she called the Marrs to tell them they won. "I love being
able to make my customers happy. Whether it’s by working to find the
best loan for them, solving a problem, or helping them get the most
out of their financial situation, it’s what I enjoy most at
Kennebunk Savings. So when I got to call the winners of our drawing,
it just made my day."
Other winners include Ron Spinney of Kittery Point, John Seckler of
Kittery, Bob Brodsky of York, Linda Tuttle of Kittery and Chris Daley
of Kittery.
The new Kittery banking office opened to the public on May 1st. It is
the eleventh of Kennebunk Savings Bank’s locations and the fifth
office to house its subsidiary, Morris Insurance.
