Community Investment Program
When You Do Business With Kennebunk Savings, You Are Also
Investing In Your Community.
At Kennebunk Savings our business is about helping our neighbors fulfill their dreams and achieve financial security. We do that by offering innovative financial solutions and developing lasting relationships. Yet our business is also about building community – making our community a better place to live, work and do business.
We believe it is our responsibility to share our success and to be an exemplary corporate citizen. Each year through the Community Investment Program of Kennebunk Savings Bank and the Kennebunk Savings Bank Foundation, we pledge 10% of our annual earnings to support non-profit and charitable efforts that create a better tomorrow for York County. Since the program's
introduction in 1994, we’ve invested over $5 million in grants to
hundreds of local organizations.

We focus our financial

promote economic development, improve quality of life for the
local citizens, and strengthen the basic foundation of our
community
Education programs
that enhance academic achievements and aspirations for all
citizens in the community
Environmental Programs

habitats in our communities
Human Services

for citizens of our community, especially those most in need
Funds are allocated by:
1.
Our customers Ballot: Our customers and employees of the
Kennebunk Savings Group of Financial Service Companies vote for
qualified non-profit and charitable organizations they value
most highly through an annual ballot.
2.
Direct Requests:
Organizations may
also request project funding directly or through a
banking office or lending officer. Our Community Investment
Committee meets monthly to review requests submitted by
non-profit and charitable organizations. Decisions are based on
potential impact in the community, support from others in the
private and public sector, and relevance to the Community
Investment goals within our five key categories.
